I am a  registered member of both the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a senior accredited member of the National Council of Psychotherapists. I have over thirty years experience of counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.
I trained initially in addiction counselling at Promis Recovery Centre in Kent before working for some years as a voluntary counsellor in Reading. The observation that clients move spontaneously into trance-like states during counselling sessions, prompted me to study for a diploma at the Psychotherapy and Hypnosis Training Association (PHTA) in London, the successful completion of which (1997) gave full membership of the National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and entry onto the Hypnotherapy Register. I was awarded Senior Clinician status with the NCH in 2002.
Meanwhile, an ever deepening interest in consciousness studies led me to the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology (CTP) where I took the Advanced Diploma in 2003 and was registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I now maintain my accreditation as a Direct Member of UKCP in the Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College.
Latterly, I spent two years teaching, training and running process groups for the Bridge Pastoral Foundation Psychotherapy and Counselling Course at Douai Abbey but now focus on my private practice, working in person in Thatcham and also on line.
